The Honorary Lifetime Membership is the oldest and most prestigious award given of the American Society of Naturalists. It is intended to recognize senior scientists whose careers epitomize the goals of the Society.
A list of present and former Honorary Lifetime Members can be found here:
https://www.amnat.org/awards.html#Lifetime
The ASN caps the number of Honorary Lifetime Members at twelve. At present there are nine. We therefore invite all ASN members to submit nominations to fill the open slots.
Please send your nominations to me (judieb@email.arizona.edu) by April 1, 2022. Include a short paragraph on why you think the individual deserves the honor. The ASN Executive Council will then vote on nominations. If your candidate is chosen, we might contact you again to help write the announcement, which will be published in The American Naturalist.
Many thanks,
Judie Bronstein
President, ASN
