The Presidential Award is chosen by the President of the American Society of Naturalists from all of the papers published in The American Naturalist during the preceding calendar year. The recipients of the award for 2020 are Beatriz Willink, M. Catherine Duryea, and Erik Svensson for “Macroevolutionary Origin and Adaptive Function of a Polymorphic Female Signal Involved in Sexual Conflict”
